I love everything about this.

FuShark responds:

Thanks.

You took shortcut and that did you in. You didn't the elements individually except for his hat. Because of that it looks just like it does in the video. An attempt to make something that was pulled from a shape made to look like it wasn't pulled from one shape. You should'nt try to do your work as fast as you can. Your speed will come with experience. If it takes you 4 months to do this again, cool.

STOP TAKING SHORT CUTS!

Do you watch nightmares in your spare time?

mhmm

Her cleavage acts as a heat exchanger for the armor. You could still have a covering over them that's a control surface only opening up when venting heat. That would look little steampunk as seeing venting of water vapor.

REAL TALK: Being sexy is internal and it's not the same as being sexual. It's how you carry yourself. Revealing clothing can be sexy. That doesn't make one, sexy. If you build elegance into your women it won't matter how little or how much you show.

Just ask a woman, not a girl, and she'll tell you I'm right ;)

That's, "Prophecy" baby! That movie poster freaked me out and so does this.

You must nail down your perspective and proportions before moving on to the structure. After that, have fun with the technique. But you don't want to be all technique and no structure. Try squinting your eyes at the picture and you will see it better.

Isn't this just general advice?

Art is life. I don't have that problem. I work in all mediums.

GrimJimmy responds:

On second thought, that's easy for you to say. I forgot that Japan has a ton more opportunity for aspiring artists. Dang, I'm jealous of you guys.

You need to draw a ton of different types of wings from life so that you can understand how and why they work. Start with the skeleton, then the musculature, then the feathers. Even Frank Frazetta used reference.

I like your work because it's passionate. So much so that I think your expression of that energy is lost in using a digital paint pallet. Like the Matrix you cannot describe it. You have to experience it for yourself. Get some acrylics and wood - yes paint on wood - and see how you really feel. Use your hands, towels, brushes, whatever you feel like using. Experience the real to be more informed about... everything.

I think that you are channeling Albrecht Dürer. Keep working on that anatomy. I love it!

InspirationWorkshop responds:

Thank you kindly) Not sure about Durer but mostly Im inspired by Roberto Ferri and many other artists. Dozens of them. From Patric Brown (yes yes :D) to Edouard Guiton , Dave Rapoza, Even Amundsen, Michelangelo and lots of others :D
